Liberia Lottery CEO: Martin Kollie Receives Best Administrator Award 2013-2014


Monrovia, February 28, 2014: A local media organization, Patriotic Consciousness Association of Liberia (PACA) on Tuesday, February 28, 2014, honored the Chief Executive Officer of the Liberia National Lotteries Corporation, Mr. Martin S. Kollie as the “Administrator of the Year 2013-2014 at his Du-port Road Office in Paynesville. 

According to press release of the Liberia National Lotteries, the honor came as a result of the CEO’s outstanding performances and leadership ability over the year; through vigorous vetting processes carried out by the organization PACA. 

The National Executive Chairman of the Patriotic Consciousness of Liberia (PACA), Mr. Frederick Baye applauded the CEO for the level of transformation and countless reforms he has brought to the Liberia National Lotteries. 

He said Mr. Kollie’s ability to revamp an institution that went into coma for four (4)years shows his passion and desire to move Liberia forward. The head of the pro-media group, Mr. Baye mentioned that the Liberia National Lotteries is undergoing transformation under the able leadership of Mr. Kollie.

“The Liberia National Lotteries is undergoing a reform under your administration, and your impact has been felt within the world of Lottery,” Mr. Baye asserted. 

Mr. Martin Kollie’s administration, along with his Deputy for Operations, Madam Agnes Effoing has been able to achieve the following within a limited period of time: Accreditation to the World Lottery Association, membership to the Africa Lottery Association, Administrative Regulations of the Liberia National Lotteries Corporation, Personnel manual, Terms of Reference (TOR), National Lottery Communications Strategy, the ongoing building process of the LNLC’s website, National Lottery Directory, Internet facility, Internal reform, the ongoing reform process of the 1993 Act that created the National Lotteries among others. 

For his part, Lottery Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Martin S. Kollie, however thanked God forthe strengthgiven him in performing his national duties and commended the PACA for their recognition and also expressed gratitude that Liberians are observing his work at the LNLC.

He said being the “Administrator of the Year 2013-2014” came as a result of the collective efforts of his Deputy, Madam Agnes Effoing and the entire staff of the Liberia National Lotteries Corporation.

Mr. Kollie further mentioned that this award will not serve as the consummation for his strive for excellence, but as a motivational tool in refining the Lottery industry of Liberia; as well as helping the people with disability and the practice of more ethical lottery standards.
