Monrovia,
February 7, 2014: The Liberia
National Lotteries Corporation identified with disabled fire victims on Gurley
Street, south beach; toured the scene of the tragedy and presented food and
assorted items to the victims all of whom were disabled.
According to the Liberia
National Lotteries press release, the fire gutted twenty bed rooms house and
affected family members and their possessions.
In fulfillment of its
statutory mandates, the Liberia National Lotteries donated 5 bags of rice, 3
gallons of oil, as well as other food items to the victims.
Making donation on
behalf of the Liberia National Lotteries, Deputy Executive Officer for
Operations, Madam Agnes Effiong expressed her deepest regret about the fire
catastrophe and admonished the victims that all is not lost.
She said the
presentation was LNLC’s gesture towards the implementation of her social
corporate responsibility to disable and charity institutions in Liberia.
At the same time,
representatives from the Group of 77, Mr. Henry Flampor and Mr. Isaac Kiba were
present during the presentation.
Also, officials of the
Liberia National Lotteries Corporation included: Deputy Executive Officer for
Operations, Madam Agnes Effiong, Ms. Felecia Blay, Welfare Officer and Ms.
Washina Saad, Public Relations Officer.
